چکیده

Rainfall-induced slope failures commonly occur in residual soil slopes. Slope are triggered by the reduction strength. This is attributed to decrease suction due rainwater infiltration. covers like capillary barrier system and vegetative cover effective methods that can be used prevent rainfall-induced failures. The able limit infiltration, vegetation contribute increase Vetiver grass widely planted tropical subtropical areas of world for water conservation. study investigates characteristics unsaturated covered with comparison original through numerical analyses field measurements. were carried out under advanced, normal, delayed rainfall patterns. results indicated played a more significant role than maintaining stability, although both contributed stability. In addition, measurements showed normal patterns, when antecedent infiltration could moisture, performed much better compared matric suctions
